Field comparison
Which kind of objective is this?
Read the objective chain first, then use its Zone, gate and reward to choose the next route.
| Label | Released role | Route value |
|---|---|---|
| Contain the Crisis | Main crisis and story progression | Opening, core dependencies and ending route |
| Search for Jesse | Traversal-focused mission chain | Incursion Fault for Shift; Subway Fault for Reach |
| Defeating Resonants | Regional boss chain | Combat Ability rewards and Resonant Cycle progress |
| World Quest | Self-contained optional story | Character context, route conditions and individual rewards |

What does the mission structure tell us?
The practical route is split across Contain the Crisis, Search for Jesse and Defeating Resonants. World Quests sit beside those chains as optional stories rather than another name for every Zone activity.
Use a mission's exact name when following a walkthrough. A category explains why the objective exists; the mission record supplies its Zone, prerequisite, ability gate, boss and reward.

How should you plan a route through a layered Zone?
Follow Contain the Crisis when a main dependency blocks every other lead. Follow Search for Jesse when Shift or Reach gates stop exploration, and use Defeating Resonants when the missing reward is a Combat Ability branch.
Post-story exploration leaves most cleanup available, while New Game Plus reopens story-gated traversal through progression. Keep route-sensitive optional outcomes attached to their automatic mission saves.

A route-planning vocabulary
Contain the Crisis, Search for Jesse and Defeating Resonants are the three route-planning chains; World Quests are self-contained optional stories. Fault missions sit inside those routes as traversal spaces rather than another name for every Zone activity.
The city also contains combat encounters, environmental challenges and discoveries. These do not all become separate missions. If movement is blocking progress, start with the Incursion or Subway Fault record; if the objective is regional, start with the relevant Zone and Resonant route.
